Having access to these aspects gives you a ton of opportunities depending on your class, from improving your damage output to completely reworking certain skills. Where to Find the Aspect of Ultimate Shadow in Diablo 4

The Aspect of Ultimate Shadow can only be found imprinted on legendary gear found while playing, and unfortunately isn’t a reward from a specific dungeon. If you want to farm this Aspect, you’ll want to run some dungeons and world events until a legendary with the aspect drops. If you’re feeling lucky, you can also try your hand at gambling at the Purveyor of Curiosities using your Murmuring Obols. Once you find the Aspect of Ultimate Shadow, you can extract it from your legendary item by speaking to an Occultist merchant in a major hub like Kyovashad and selecting the “Extract Aspect” tab.

What Does the Aspect of Ultimate Shadow Do?

The Aspect of Ultimate Shadow is exclusively for Necromancers, affecting the abilities of Bone Storm and Blood Wave. On the skill tree, these are both the Blood and Bone ultimate abilities. The Aspect adds the Darkness affix to the skills, while also changing both abilities to deal Shadow damage. The amount of Shadow damage the Aspect deals will depend heavily on the item power level.

As far as builds this is useful for, having a Darkness-centric build is a must given the bonuses from Darkness skills. I would suggest mixing Darkness with Blood skills and running Blood Wave since the mix of damage over time and immediate damage from a Darkness ability like Sever can make for a nice combo. Given the Darkness addition to Blood Wave, you’ll be getting some great additional Shadow damage on top of everything you’re already doing. It’s an excellent aspect all around, and one that should make a nice home in your build. Make sure the Aspect either goes onto your two-handed weapon or Amulet, as you’ll see a 100% or 50% power increase respectively.
