Sure, it isn’t particularly helpful against damage over time; Nonetheless, it’s handy if you’re up against a hard-hitting enemy and want to deal a bit of it back. Better yet, with the proper Aspect, you can use this to attack every surrounding enemy, potentially clearing the entire group if they’re already damaged. How to Unlock the Needleflare Aspect in Diablo 4
You can obtain the Needleflare Aspect in two ways:
- Clear the Yshari Sanctum dungeon in Kehjistan
- Extract it from armor at any Occultist
If you want a guaranteed way to get the Needleflare Aspect, clearing the Yshari Sanctum dungeon is your best bet. However, since Codex of Power Aspects gives the lowest possible stat values, extracting it from old gear allows you to get a better version.
Yshari Sanctum Dungeon Location in Diablo 4
Yshari Sanctum is in central Kehjistan, right next to the Imperial Library. If you’ve visited the Imperial Library before, you can teleport to its Waypoint and enter the hallway to your right to find the dungeon.

When I was searching for this dungeon, I quickly noticed that I had already visited the Imperial Library, making the trip pretty easy. However, if you have never been to the Imperial Library, you can also travel north from Denshar in Kehjistan’s Field of Hatred or northeast from Gea Kul. What Does the Needleflare Aspect Do in Diablo 4?
Needleflare is an Offensive Aspect that any class can use to give a 20% chance of dealing thorns damage to all nearby enemies. In other words, whenever an enemy attacks you and inflicts thorns damage, there is a one in five chance that every enemy will receive this damage. If you’re up against a strong enemy that summons smaller, weaker monsters, you can potentially clear them out easily without casting a single spell!
