Tekken 8 Closed Beta Register

How to Sign Up for the Tekken 8 Closed Beta Test

A whole weekends with some longtime friends

It’s funny how we get a big update on Tekken 8 precisely eight years after the previous title was first released. That probably wasn’t planned, but still great to see nonetheless. But what’s even better is to know that a Closed Beta Test is on the way for this game, following its announcement through Bandai Namco’s official social media accounts.

Everyone will have their shot at the Beta, but Playstation owners are eating well with having an extra Beta weekend all for themselves. Regardless of your console of choice, you should definitely register for it, and here’s how you can do it.

How to Register for Tekken 8 Closed Beta Test on All Platforms

Fighting games enjoyers can register for the beta through the Tekken official Closed Network Test website. The game will be available on Playstation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page to find the Sign-Up area. Fill in the blanks with your email, preferred platform, your country and cross your fingers.

The registration period goes up to June 27, 2023, so you better do it now so you won’t forget later. The Playstation Early Access Closed Beta happens from July 21, 2023 at 1 am to July 24, 2023 at 12 am, PDT, while the general Beta for all platforms will be held from July 28, 2023 at 1 am to July 31, 2023 at 12 am, PDT, just a week later.

Players from the early Playstation beta can also go back to the fight one week later, but progress won’t be saved between periods. And naturally, all progress made during the Closed Beta periods will not carry over to the main game. Confirmation emails will be sent on both June 19 (Playstation Early Access) and July 26 (everyone else).

The main objective of the Beta is to stress the servers with players from all across the world to see its capabilities, as well as discover how well-balanced the game currently it. Disconnections, errors and bugs are to be expected, so don’t rage at them. Wait until the game’s out for doing that.

Tekken 8 doesn’t have a release date yet, but it’s expected to drop anytime between late 2023 and early 2024. And as previously confirmed by director Katsuhiro Harada, the title includes both Crossplay and native Rollback Netcode. Here’s hoping they can nail that last feature just like SF6 did.
