Diablo 4 Glyphs Explained – How to Use Them

The Paragon tree gets more complicated.

There are tons of small stat increases to unlock in the Diablo 4 Paragon board, and to make matters even more confusing, there are rows of Glyphs you can choose from to customize the tree. However, you won’t be able to use the Glyphs right away, so I’m here to explain how you can start utilizing them in your build. Here’s how to use Glyphs in Diablo 4.

How to Use Glyphs in Diablo 4

To use Glyphs in Diablo 4, you must place them in a Paragon Board socket, which can be unlocked with a Paragon Point. Everyone starts with a few Glyphs that they can use in the Paragon sockets, but the spot must be unlocked first. To unlock a socket, continue spending Paragon points until you reach that part of the board like any other node. When you reach the socket, you will need to spend another point.

Once you have a Glyph Socket unlocked, you can select the empty slot and you will be taken to your Glyph collection in Diablo 4. From here, choose the best option for your class based on the radius. I like to use Glyphs that bolster my damage through Dexterity nodes in the same radius, but sometimes Intelligence is a better option. It really depends on what the radius offers.

What is a Glyph Radius in Diablo 4?

All the Glyphs in the game will mention radius. The higher the rarity, the higher the overall radius will be. This simply means the radius from the socket. So if I place a Glyph that has a Radius of three, then all nodes within three spaces will be part of the equation.

An example of a Glyph is something as simple as “For every 5 Dexterity purchased within range, you gain +0.6% increased damage.” This means that if I spend two Paragon Points on Dexterity nodes that are in the Glyph radius, I will get a +1.2% damage increase on my character.
