How to Get the Narrow Minded Mod in Warframe

A narrow method for getting the mod, too.

Warframe mods are the key to either making or breaking a piece of equipment’s potential. If you mod things incorrectly and without the correct mod synergies in mind, you could be severely reducing the potential effectiveness of a piece of gear. With that in mind, you want to have access to all mods that could help you in the long term, some of which are found in a dark place. Here’s how to get the Narrow Minded mod in Warframe.

The Narrow Minded mod drops from Orokin Derelict Vaults in the Orokin Derelict tileset. To access these, you’ll need to run any mission on Deimos excluding the Cambion Drift, Magnacidium, Hyf, and Exequias while running Dragon Keys (more on that shortly). With any luck, the 4.35% chance to drop the mod will be in your favor and the mod will be yours.

What Do You Need Before Running Orokin Derelict Vaults?

Before you go jumping into the Orokin Derelict and begin hunting for Vaults, you’re going to need those Dragon Keys we mentioned. To get Dragon Keys, you’ll first need to be part of a clan that has a Clan Dojo. Once in their Dojo, head toward the Orokin Lab and check the console to get the blueprints for Dragon Keys. You’re looking to get the blueprints for the Extinguished, Hobbled, Bleeding, and Decaying Dragon Keys. Once you have the blueprints, making each key will cost 250 Ferrite alongside 10 Void Traces (gotten from Void Fissures in your Navigation console). Once built, equip them in your Gear Wheel, found in the Arsenal, and you’re good to go.

Keep in mind that with each key equipped, you’ll receive a substantial debuff. The debuffs for each key are as follows:

  • Bleeding Key: -75% Health
  • Decaying Key: -75% Shield
  • Extinguished Key: -75% Damage
  • Hobbled Key: -50% Movement Speed

It’s because of how heavy these debuffs are that we suggest running Vaults while in a party. That way, each person only has to have one key in their Gear Wheel at a time. Completely up to you, though.

Once in one of the Deimos levels (excluding the ones listed above), begin searching all of the hallways. You’re looking for a door that looks like the image above, a semi-circle with the key image plastered right in the center of it. Once found, whoever has the correct key of the four will need to open the door. Inside will be an orange ball, which one person needs to pick up. Once grabbed, finish the mission as normal and extract. If done right, you’ll get a mod at the end of the mission. With any luck, it will be Narrow Minded.

What Does the Narrow Minded Mod Do in Warframe?

At max rank, Narrow Minded increases Ability Duration by 99%, while lowering Ability Range by 66%. This makes the mod great for frames that thrive off duration while already having range mods to compensate. As one example, I use it on Mesa to heavily increase the range of some of her abilities. The setup isn’t perfect as her ult does have its field of view reduced, but the pros heavily outweigh the cons.
