Where to Get Goat Butter in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
There are three different locations where you can obtain goat butter in TOTK:
- Kakariko Village’s general store: 1807, -1026, 0112
- Hateno Village’s general store: 3357, -2165, 0120
- Rito Village’s general store: -3641, 1819, 0184
All of these shops sell goat butter for 12 rupees each. However, they’re limited in stock, with most stores carrying only three to five at a time, so it’s worth exploring each one if you need multiple sticks!
For a newer player, Kakariko Village and Hateno Village are the easiest locations to explore, but if you’re in the western regions and quickly want to grab some, it’s worth checking out Rito Village too.

What Can You Use Goat Butter For?
The main purpose of getting goat butter is to cook with it! There are all kinds of recipes that require it, with the list below describing a few examples:
- Meat Pie – Any meat, Tabantha wheat, goat butter, rock salt
- Poultry Pilaf – Raw bird drumstick, Hylian rice, bird egg, goat butter
- Fish Pie – Any fish, Tabantha wheat, goat butter, rock salt
- Carrot Stew – Swift/Endura carrot, Tabantha wheat, goat butter, fresh milk
- Carrot Cake – Swift/Endura carrot, Tabantha wheat, goat butter, cane sugar

While there is plenty more to discover, these are just some examples of ones that use goat butter. Trust me; you’ll need a lot if you want to make every dish in the game!
