How to Complete A Wife Wafted Away Quest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Below are the exact steps you’ll have to take to finish the “A Wife Wafted Away” quest in Tears of the Kingdom:

  • Speak to Fronk in Zora’s Domain
  • Travel to Wellspring Island and find Mei
  • Return to Fronk

Starting the A Wife Wafted Away Quest

When you first talk to Fronk at coordinates (3289, 0442, 0139), he’ll tell you if you’ve ever heard of a “floating place”. His wife referenced this in a mysterious song before traveling east, and even Link isn’t entirely sure what’s going on. Fronk worries about her absence, prompting you to find her! Following this conversation, you’ll officially begin the “A Wife Wafted Away” quest.

Where to Find Mei in Tears of the Kingdom – Floating Place Location

Once the conversation ends, fast-travel to Igoshon Shrine at coordinates (3480, 0664, 1325) and glide directly southeast toward Wellspring Island. Alternatively, you can teleport to the Water Temple Entrance and fly in this direction. You’ll naturally encounter this area as you progress through the Zora’s Domain storyline.

Finishing the Quest

During this conversation, Met will comment on the island and its fish before Link jumps in and questions what’s happening. After she explains the situation, she’ll head home to Zora’s Domain. Go back to Zora’s Domain and speak to Fronk one last time to receive a Hearty Fish Skewer and wrap up the “A Wife Wafted Away” quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
