Who is Yukong in Honkai: Star Rail?

Honkai: Star Rail gave us a small but good pool of characters to build right from the release, but as warp banners begin to line up, we’re already seeing some fascinating characters ready to drop. One of which is Yukong, a character revealed before the leaks got to her. But who is she? Here’s what you need to know.

Who is Yukong in Honkai: Star Rail?

In Honkai: Star Rail’s YouTube Trailer Interstellar Journey, we were actually privy to a lot of knowledge of characters that we’ll be seeing in the future. With only one of them being Yukong and another being Xueyi, there are still more characters in the trailer that you may have missed. In the story, Yukong is the Helm Master of the Sky-Faring Commission, one of the many guilds that are on the Xianzhou Luofu. Her duties attribute to aviation, navigation, and any trade that falls under her particular commission.

Yukong’s release will debut in 1.1 of Honkai: Star Rail as a Four-Star Imaginary Pathfinder of Harmony. Imaginary is an element that, upon breaking an enemy’s shield, will cast them with Imprisonment that slows them down until they can recover. This can help in the lineup of turns so that your teammates can get one more hit on the enemies before they can get back up. Harmony is the Path of adding buffs to characters, and Yukong’s talents will surely give your team plenty of them.

Like Tingyun, Yukong will work better when she’s built off of speed since her buffs can increase Attack, Crit Rate, and Crit Damage. Her Eidolons thus far hint at Energy Recharge, Speed Buffs, and Ultimate Buffs when she is maxed out at E6. 

Since she is not yet released, all information regarding Yukong can be subject to change, at least regarding her buffs and what her Eidolons may add to her kit. But she should prove to be a Harmony Imaginary Pathfinder with a bow as a weapon. Like Asta, she’ll be great for breaking through defenses and, like Tingyun, will deal dramatic buffs to her allies.
