Apex Legends Patch Notes 2.21

Well, I think anyone who keeps abreast of Apex Legends’ updates is likely very aware that the patch notes can feel a little… random, at least in terms of how that information is dispersed. While there’s a dedicated website, many patch notes don’t wind up on it, unless they happen to be pretty major.

For Patch Notes 2.21, the only information we’ve received about it is through a tweet from Respawn Entertainment, Apex Legends’ developer.

Here’s what they tweeted:

While these are the highlights, we haven’t seen the rest of the patch notes. But here’s what we know:

Patch Notes 2.21 was released for PS4, PS5(Version 1.000.035), PC, and Xbox. The latest update contains gameplay optimizations and bug fixes. Apart from this, today’s Apex version 2.21 also includes general stability and performance improvements.

Beyond these optimizations and minor bug fixes, we’ve also seen some adjustments to certain weapons and hero fixes:

  • Remove/Transfer attachment buttons have been reverted
  • Echo now spawns in the correct location when deployed
  • Belgian accounts can now purchase Sun Squad skins
  • Splash Zone Flatline has received updated iron sights

Without a doubt, the handful of Vantage mains are very happy that their bat companion will finally spawn in the correct location. That’s a pretty significant part of her kit that’s been bugged for a little too long.
