Just a little over a month ago, Epic Games confirmed the next game in the Gears of War franchise, a prequel of sorts called Gears of War: Judgment, being worked on in collaboration with the team at People Can Fly. Though the team only showed off one multiplayer mode from the game thus far – the popular Overrun – progress is moving right along on it.
Now comes rumors, according to a source in CVG, that the game has a release period. According to various reports, Gears of War: Judgment is being set up for a February 2013 release, the same month of the release of People Can Fly’s epic first-person shooter Bulletstorm. Though Epic Games and Microsoft couldn’t confirm this period, it does sound about right, coming a year and a half after Gears of War 3.
Epic did confirm, however, that more details about the game would be revealed in a couple of weeks at the San Diego Comic-Con. We’re eager to see what comes out of that panel – and if we get some Cole Train for good measure.
