A chunk of Halo 4 information has been revealed via a series of slides on a Microsoft site.
Website ExpertZone is used to teach retailers about Microsoft products, it currently features a quiz on upcoming Xbox 360 sequel Halo 4 for retailers with an informative slideshow as a precursor.
Fansite LittleEnglishHaloblog has collected the slides for all to see, within them there’s a whole host of new information previously unknown.
Apparently Halo 4 brings 10 new weapons, two of which we have seen at E3 but there are 8 more! Woop!
The forthcoming game also has 2 new vehicles and “improved support to create, organize and track groups”, could this mean clan support?
There are also 10 new multiplayer maps to begin with, though more will be coming via DLC.
Spartan Ops is an interesting addition to Halo, similar to Firefight from Halo: Reach and Halo 3: ODST it will allow up to 4 players to take part in the SPARTAIN-IV Program. It’s episodic in nature, the first bringing fifty missions, with five every week over the course of a total of ten weeks (follow that? I’m not sure I did). Each mission is introduced with a “high-quality cinematic”. Season One of Spartan Ops comes at the recession-busting price of free. “How many games give you free DLC for 10 weeks?” comes the bumf, explaining that the offer totals 12 hours of gameplay for single-player or co-op. “It’s like getting two campaigns with one game!”
