How Long is the Fire Emblem Engage DLC – Answered

With the arrival of Wave 4 of the Fire Emblem Engage DLC, players will finally have the chance to play through the Fell Xenologue storyline. We’ve been getting teasers about this story for quite some time, with hints at the two dragons, Nel and Nil.

But how long is the story, really? And is it worth playing?

The answer is completely dependent on your gameplay. In terms of sheer content, there are six chapters in the Fell Xenologue DLC, with each of the maps becoming increasingly more difficult as you progress. Chapters 5 and 6 are particularly large, in terms of maps and gameplay, and you should expect to invest big chunks of time in them.

Once you do finally complete the maps, there is also a large final cutscene, which ties up all loose ends. Some players may find themselves really struggling with Chapter 5 and 6, especially on higher difficulties. But most players should expect to spend four to five hours on the DLC.

Not much else about the DLC can be said without giving away some pretty vital details. But it’s likely that players who have been meticulously refining and optimizing their units will have a great time seeing what they can do. Players who’ve played more casually may find that they struggle.

If you happen to fall into the latter category, or you just need a refresher course on the best classes for each unit, check out our article here: Best Class for Each Character in Fire Emblem Engage.
