Although this spin-off prequel looks like an indie minigame due to its different style, it is a title that lasts from 10 up to 15 hours – which is roughly the length of all previous Bayonetta games. Bayonetta’s Origin story will be told through 13 chapters, which vary in length, but depending on how much you spend exploring side stuff in each one, will last an hour on average.

Although most of the chapters are very linear without much backtracking, you can still extend the length of your playthrough by gathering collectibles, unlocking additional costumes for Cereza and Cheshire, and completing all side challenges that can be found in every part of the Avalon forest. Also, if you want an additional challenge, you can always increase the difficulty level. Either way, you will spend some decent time in this title while uncovering the origin of a legendary witch as Bayonetta Origins is by no means a short game. Have fun!

Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is available now only on Nintendo Switch, also you can still get the free demo version on the Nintendo Online store (progress from the demo version can be carried over)
