In order to get to the real final boss and see the true ending of the game, you must first complete 13 chapters of the regular game with Cereza and her demon Chesire, with any difficulty setting. When you have finished the main story and watched the credits, the hidden bonus chapter “Jeanne’s Tale” will be unlocked for you.

In this additional chapter you play with Bayonetta’s childhood friend and future rival Jeanne, gameplay mostly stays the same as she has red Cheshire-like demon called Charles. At the end of Jeanne’s Tale, you will meet the Affirmer of Phenomena, the true final boss of the game.

Warning! Some SPOILERS are incoming for Bayonetta Origins Cereza and the Lost Demon and Bayonetta 3!

If the Affirmer of Phenomena sounds familiar to you, well, it’s actually the Singularity from Bayonetta 3, the main antagonist from last year’s game with the power to manipulate reality and travel dimensions.

How to Get the True Ending in Bayonetta Origins and the Lost Demon?

You need to beat Affirmer of Phenomena at the end of Jeanne’s Tale additional chapter. Although you’ll be playing as Jeanne, this very challenging hidden boss will test everything you’ve learned playing as Cereza in the main game, you’ll need to use all the skills at your disposal to survive his AoE attacks and the waves of minions he’ll summon. Once you eventually down Affirmer of Phenomena, kick back and watch the true ending of the game.

Certainly, this kinda ties up the ending of Bayonetta 3 with this prequel – because, yes, time and interdimensional travel, why not?! Can’t wait for Bayonetta 4 to complicate things even more.
