Cheep Cheep Beach is one of our favorite tracks from Mario Kart DS, filled with peaceful scenery and one of the catchiest tunes in franchise history. The palm trees, crabs and crystal clear water combine to form a tranquil environment that makes us long for a vacation, the kind that involves fruity drinks and sun tans.
Well, Cheep Cheep Beach is back, this time in Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U, and Nintendo gave this beloved course a wonderful HD makeover. Naturally, we just had to fire up the DS version to see how things changed, and we think you’ll agree that every new detail is for the better. That said, see both Cheep Cheep Beach tracks in action in our newest video.
