If you’ve found yourself kicking around in the Anchor of Light in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep then you’ve probably come across some sort of altar telling you that you’re too big for your boots. We’re not used to getting lip from inanimate objects, especially ones that seem to just enjoy criticizing you without actually caring about your self-improvement or that you may have had an awful day at work because Tess decided to heat up tuna in the microwave again. If you’re as confused and as hurt as we are, check out what we know so far about the You Stand Unworthy Destiny 2: Shadowkeep dilemma.
“You Stand, Unworthy” Destiny 2: Shadowkeep: What Is This?
Not been cussed out yet by some strange object that says “You stand, unworthy” when you interact with it? You’re honestly missing out on the latest lunar attraction. For those who aren’t quite sure what we’re talking about, well, these appear to be little altars that are stationed around the Anchor of Light. The only option you can get to interact with them is for them to spit out “You stand, unworthy” which, depending on your nocturnal encounters thus far in life, could be incredibly demoralizing.
At this point, there appear to be three different occurrences of this and counting, as the community hunts high and low for more of these mysterious things. If you’re ranging around the Satellite Tower, the handily collapsed tunnel, or just the general periphery of the Anchor then you might well run across more.
At the moment, there are a few confirmed interactions with this. If you shoot it with the Deathbringer weapon specifically (we have a guide on this bad boy if you wanna know more), it will spit out an orb. You can then interact with this orb and move it around, though there isn’t really anything at this stage in the vicinity of these altars which reacts to an orb being placed on it. There’s speculation that these altars are in place for an upcoming world event or for a new Exotic that’s on the way, but at this stage, there’s been no confirmation from Bungie and these objects are as sharp-tongued as ever in the interim.
When we find out more about these altars and why they hate us so much, we’ll update this and let you know what their deal is. In the meantime, check out our guide on finding Ethereal Charms if you want something a little more uplifting than talking to the in-game equivalent of an over-critical aunt.
