The Xbox One X has finally arrived, and Xbox fans can start diving into the beauty and wonder of 4K gaming right now. Unfortunately, 4K settings aren’t turned on by default on the Xbox One X, so you’ll need to make sure to turn this setting on. Don’t worry about finding the settings yourself, we’ve got all the details below, so make sure you take a look at the information below to see how to enable 4K gaming on the Xbox One X.

How to Enable 4K

After you turn on your Xbox One X, and are going through the setup steps, you’ll want to make sure you enable 4K settings. This can easily be done by pressing the Xbox button on the Xbox One controller, and then bring up the Guide. From here, navigate to the Systems tab on the menu, and then select the Settings option from the list.

Once inside of Settings head over to Display and Sound, and select Advanced video settings. From here you can choose whether you want to allow your Xbox One X to run at 50Hz, 24Hz, as well as whether you want HDR, 4K, or even 3D on.
