What Are Comprehension Charms in SoD?

Comprehension Charms are utilized to decipher the Spell Notes that Mages can use to learn their Runes. All you need to do is to have them in your inventory once you get a new Mage Rune and right-click your Spell Note. If you have at least one Charm, you’ll be able to learn and equip the Rune as usual.

How to Get Comprehension Charms

You can get three Comprehension Charms for free at the Spell Research quest early in the game with your class trainer, but you’ll have to buy more of them later if you want to continue seeking out Runes. And you definitely want to, since some of the best skills are tied to Comprehension Charms.

Alternatively, you can find a Mage Rune at any point and keep it in your inventory and buy the necessary Comprehension Charms later down the line. This might be your best choice early on since each Comprehension Charm costs 7 Silver, which can be quite expensive during the early game. And since you’re probably searching for Runes ASAP, you might have to wait for a few of those.
