WoW Classic Phase 2 Release Date, Content and More: What We Know

For those of us who have been swallowed up by the beast that is WoW Classic, well, there’s often only one thing that we’re really concerned with that isn’t the mini heart-attack that comes with the territory of trying to tag a mob. Yeah, we’re wondering when the WoW Classic Phase 2 release date is gonna be, and what’s going to come next. It was no mean feat, giving a bunch of hardcore fans the ultimate nostalgia trip, and we’re excited to see what the Blizzard team comes up with next so here’s what we know so far about Phase 2’s launch date, content, and more.

WoW Classic Phase 2 Release Date, Content and More

If you were waiting for Phase 2 of WoW Classic to drop because you were wanting to crack into Dire Maul, Blizzard has recently done us the favor of dropping that separately from the rest of the phase. While this is good news for those of us who were absolutely frothing at the thought of cracking Alzzin’s skull, there’s one downside: Dire Maul arriving last week on 15 October was a wholly separate thing from Phase 2.

Dire Maul was originally part of the second big content drop for the game according to Blizzard’s original content roadmaps, but it was released ahead of the other planned additions of Azuregos and Kazzak. Blizzard was also looking at rolling out some tweaks to World PvP, the Honor system, and Rank rewards. We can imagine that there’s a fair bit that the team is wanting to smooth out at the moment, but with Dire Maul already out, there’s potential that we could see Phase 2 in the tail end of next month, and it’s not unrealistic to think that we could get it before the year is out. We’re sure that there’s going to be an update from the WoW Classic team once players have had the chance to spend more time with Dire Maul, and hopefully we’ll get a better idea of when we can expect the content to open up further. 

At the moment, that’s what we know about the WoW Classic Phase 2 release date and what it’s going to bring.
