Wolfenstein: Youngblood Story Length

Wolfenstein: Youngblood is the newest entry in the fan-favorite Wolfenstein franchise and will see the focus placed on the Sophia and Jessica, the twin daughters of franchise protagonist B.J. Blazkowicz. The story of Youngblood will see Sophia and Jessica embark on a mission to find their missing father who they discovered has gone to Paris in order to rid the city of its Nazi occupation. How long is Wolfenstein: Youngblood?

According to an interview with VentureBeat reported on by Shacknews, Machine Games Executive Producer Jerk Gustafsson explained that players will spend around 25-30 hours playing Wolfenstein: Youngblood if they play through all of the things the first-person shooter has to offer. 

“It’s a bit weird because this is our biggest game yet, but it’s a pretty short production time. Like I said, the story is lighter in content as well as tone. But the level progression and the non-linear narrative gives us the ability to add a lot of activities and a lot of missions to do, so the total game time is actually longer than our previous titles. I think we’re looking at at least 25 to 30 hours if you play through everything,” Gustafsson told VentureBeat. 

With past entries in the alternative history first-person shooter franchise having focused on linear gameplay and storylines, it is exciting to see Wolfenstein: Youngblood will be looking to somewhat reinvent the series and give players more freedom when it comes to how they complete their missions. The new addition of cooperative play also provides whole new facets players can explore to create their own unique experiences.
