As you progress through the newest DLC pack for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, The Teal Mask, you’ll finally have the option to unlock a plethora of new outfits and clothing options for your main character. Once you have met up with the grandparents of Kieran and Carmine, you’ll receive a brand new item: The Teal Style Card. But, as you explore Kitakami, you may wonder where you’ll have to go to finally use this miraculous piece of equipment.
How To Use The Teal Style Card In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Once you receive this item, you’ll find it in the Key Items pouch of your backpack/bag. A quick glance at the description shows that you can use it at various stores, but a glance at the map of Kitakami shows that there aren’t many, if any, shops to use this new item at. What gives?
Well, you’ll need to book the first flight back to Paldea to utilize this card for everything it’s worth. Whether you’re looking for a new haircut or new fashion accessories, any shop you walk into will now allow you to purchase special items only available with the Teal Style Card.
How Do You Know Which Items Are Exclusive To The Style Card?
Once you have arrived in Paldea, head into any of the Salons or clothing stores available, and you’ll be greeted with a new set of dialogue. You do not need to take any action beyond walking into a store for this cutscene to trigger. Once you have shown off your new Style Card, you’ll have some new clothing options and haircuts to choose from.
As you browse the selections, you’ll notice a teal box to the left of the item you’re looking at. This means that it’s an exclusive item that can only be purchased while you have the Teal Style Card. In the example above, the Undercut Bob is a new hairstyle that is only unlocked after claiming this key item.
Once you step inside of a clothing shop, you’ll be greeted with a similar line of dialogue. However, you won’t need to worry about this happening every time you step into a shop, as word of your arrival will quickly spread throughout other clothing outlets. You’ll just want to look for that icon as you peruse through all of the new clothing options available in the shops around Paldea.
