How to Recruit Reyna in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes

Reyna will be available to recruit in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes once you get to Dabavin, the oasis town northeast of Hishahn. You’ll have to visit Dabavin as part of the story around the midpoint of the game after going through the Shandar Ridge; you can’t go through until you get permission from the king of Euchrisse as part of the story. Speaking to Reyna near the sand ship docks will initiate a battle, so you’ll want to prepare your party beforehand.

Proving Your Power to Reyna

To recruit Reyna, you have to deal around 1400 to 1500 damage (the exact value is uncertain) to her in three turns, while all she does is defend. Although you can challenge her immediately when you get to Dabavin, it can be very difficult to reach these numbers at that point. If you want an easier time defeating Reyna, you can wait until your party is around Level 40.

In addition to hitting Reyna with your strongest moves each turn, you can use Yusuke and Yuferius, units you obtained earlier in the game, to deal major damage in this battle. Have Yusuke and Yuferius charge for two turns, then use their strongest available move on Reyna. Charging for two turns will quadruple (4x) their damage, making it a great strategy to deal a lot of damage to a highly defensive enemy like Reyna.

If you are recruiting Reyna later in the game, use Dijkstra’s Powerful Warcry skill each turn. It doubles the power of all allies’ physical attacks for the turn and is one of the best overall skills in the game.

Once you deal enough damage to Reyna, she will join your forces. Reyna has outstanding physical and magical defensive stats, and a high chance to cover your allies, or take damage in their place, making her a helpful party member. In addition, you’ll want to recruit all of Eiyuden Chronicle’s characters to get the game’s best ending. Check out our guide on how to recruit Momo, the game’s best magic unit, for another effective character you can use in the battle to recruit Reyna, and to ensure your barracks are complete before the game is over.
