Where to Get Eviolite in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Give your baby Pokemon a rock so it won't die as fast

There are held items of all types in the Pokemon franchise. Ones that are extremely specific and circumstantial, like Absorb Bulb, and items that have constant utility, like Shell Bell. And then there are items that you really have to plan your entire Pokemon around, like Eviolite.

This mysterious evolutionary lump (yes, it’s really described as a lump) will boost the defense and epical defense stat of the Pokemon holding it… so long as that Pokemon can evolve. While that might sound like a gimmick, it’s useful if you’re playing in baby Pokemon competitions. Or maybe you’re just dedicated to a specific Pokemon that you refuse to evolve, like my unhealthy obsession with my hyper-trained Dragonair.

Whatever the reason, you want this held item, and this is how to get Eviolite in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

There are two surefire ways to get this stone into your possession. One will cost you time and the other will cost you a fat stack of Poke Cash. If you have ample time on your hands, head to South Province Area Five. There on the golden beaches, find the Pokecenter and speak to the Battle League Rep. He’ll tell you he has a fabulous prize waiting for you if you manage to beat 7 trainers in the area. Do so and return to him. He’ll reward you with an Eviolite.

The second option is to head off to Mesagoza, home of the ancient school academy and 10,000 shops. Head to the only one that matters – Delibird Presents. There, you can find Eviolite among the battle items for a cool 50,000 Pokedollars. Yes, you can buy 5 bottle caps for the same price. Personally, I think wrecking seven trainers is the better option.

Good luck getting that Eviolite, trainer!
