Like clockwork, the Snowball Launcher has made a return in Fortnite Chapter 4 with the release of the Winterfest 2022 holiday event. This launcher was one of the first holiday weapons to ever appear in the battle royale, and it makes a return every year when the holiday season picks up.
As expected, the Snowball Launcher is part of the event quests found in the main menu or through the Cozy Lodge. Either way, you’ll need to get your hands on some snowballs if you want to complete all 14 quests. Where you can find one and how they spawn will be outlined in this guide.
Fortnite Winterfest 2022 – Where to Find the Snowball Launcher
There’s no need to worry about fighting over some mythic weapons or spending Gold Bars on Exotics. The Snowball Launcher can be found within the normal loot pool while the Fortnite Winterfest 2022 event is live. That means you can find the launcher as common floor loot or inside rare finds, such as a Supply Drop.
To make it easier to narrow down a Snowball Launcher location, you should think about the weapon like a Rocket Launcher in terms of loot. While the holidays are breezing along, the Rocket Launcher will be replaced by snowballs. In other words, locations or NPCs that would usually have Rocket Launcher spawns will now have the holiday version instead.

Unfortunately, there is never really a great way to guarantee a weapon found in the normal loot pool. The best answer is to drop in hot spots or locations where loot spawns are abundant. However, the Gift Boxes have also returned for the Fortnite Winterfest 2022 event. Boxes can contain nearly any loot, but the chances of a Snowball Launcher are typically much higher. If you find a Gift, make sure to throw it down and hope for your own snowball effect.
