Added in Version 1.1 as a rare finding in some areas, Lost Trotters are those cute little coward piggies that can randomly invade your battle in Honkai: Star Rail. They give out some special rewards if you manage to bring them down before they escape, but be quick to Break them or they’ll hide their weaknesses!
Here you’ll learn how and where to find those elusive swine, and also know why you should keep your eyes open for them in Honkai: Star Rail.
What Are Lost Trotters in Honkai: Star Rail?
Similar to the Warp Trotters that we can find in all areas with enemies or in the Simulated Universe, Lost Trotters yield big rewards when you manage to catch and beat them. They can randomly invade any random encounter you’re facing and will behave just like their other counterparts, trying to hide their weaknesses if you don’t beat them quickly.
Their similarities end here, as they cannot be directly found in the overworld. You’ll never see a Lost Trotter in an area like you can see Warp Trotters. Consequently, they won’t try to flee from you before the battle even begins.
They also don’t give out Stellar Jades (aside from Achievements) but will increase the regular drops from monsters in that particular battle.

So let’s say you’re farming Ancient parts for Silver Wolf’s Traces. If you happen to walk into a Lost Trotter, consider yourself lucky, as it will increase the amount of loot you get in this battle! Increased loot will appear highlighted after the battle, indicating you got some extras.
How To Find Lost Trotters
Okay, so it’s time to hunt some piggies! Where do you start, you ask? Well, finding a Lost Trotter is a completely random event, so you cannot reliably find them 100% of the time. All random battles can be invaded by a Trotter, as long as they don’t have 5 enemies already.
I found my first Trotter in Everwinter Hill and was lucky enough to find another one right in my next encounter. Areas in Herta Space Station and Xianzhou Luofu also blessed me, and it seems like it’s not that hard to encounter one of those.
So whenever you need to get some extra materials for leveling your characters, make sure to focus on the invading Trotters first. You can finish your farming route way earlier than expected thanks to these bonuses, so don’t lose that chance! Pigs are always a lucky sign in Star Rail, so don’t neglect the Warp Trotters either.
