Where to Find Emeralds in Disney Dreamlight Valley

You’ll find emeralds in the Forest of Valor and the Glade of Trust. Whenever you mine grey mineral rocks, there is a chance that you’ll get emeralds alongside stone and coal. They spawn along the cliffside, so check along the sides of mountains, hills, and other stone walls in case there’s one hiding!

As you’re mining through these rocks, you may notice you’re not finding many emeralds. There are two main reasons why this might happen! The first is that other gems, like citrine and aquamarine, appear in these areas. The second reason is that gems are not guaranteed to drop from these rocks. Instead, you may find regular resources like iron and stone.

Tips for Finding Emeralds Easier

Unfortunately, this is where skill ends and luck begins. However, below are some tips you can follow to increase your chances of getting plenty of emeralds:

  • Focus on rocks with green gemstones jutting out of them. The gem’s color indicates which one will drop from the rock, so try to target any with green. If you don’t see any, destroy the rocks as usual and hope for the best.
  • Bring a friend with you! If you have a villager assigned to mining, ask to hang out with them before going on your emerald hunting adventure. If you do find one, there’s a chance the NPC will drop a second!
  • Level up the friend! Not only is bringing someone along beneficial but so is levelling them up! The higher a character’s skill in their respective skill, the greater your chances of getting a second drop. If you have someone close to level 10, you’ll get bonus items more often than not.
  • Switch roles! If you have a level ten villager with a different assigned skill, craft a Mining Training Manual and use it to swap roles.

While the advice above will help speed up the process, it still doesn’t guarantee that you’ll find emeralds. From here, it’s up to luck and dedication to farming the Glade and Forest until you gather all you need!
