Where to Find All Guaranteed Dusk Stones in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Mismagius is one corporeal body away from being the perfect goth girlfriend

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet doesn’t skimp on the sheer diversity it provides its trainers. Step onto Poco Path and you’ll be bombarded by Pokemon of all sorts. But certain things distinguish this Generation of Pokemon from others. There are a plethora of items to be found on the ground, from berries to elemental stones, and department stores that were iconic in Celadon and Goldenrod City are nowhere to be found.

Fortunately, you won’t have to hunt down most Evolution Stones on the ground. After four badges, they’ll be stocked by the capitalistic birds who run Delibird Presents (you can’t convince me it’s people behind the counter). But other stones remain completely elusive – like the Dusk Stone.

Where to Find All Guaranteed Dusk Stones in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Dusk Stones, like Dawn Stones, are items you can’t buy conventionally, and perhaps that makes sense. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are full of strange (and sometimes arbitrarily) difficult evolution methods, so getting your hands on rarer Evolution stones makes sense. But if you want to evolve your Murkrow or Misdreavus yourself, you’re going to have to find one. There are three options available to you.

The first option is to go to one of the static locations for these elemental stones. There are two available. The first Dusk Stone can be found in Montenevera, immediately behind the gym. It makes sense that a Ghost Gym would have a Dusk Stone!

The second location is a little harder to find. Starting at Medali West, head South towards the trail that winds up the mountain. Follow this until you enter West Province (Area One), just outside of Cascarrafa, and you’ll find a Dusk Stone against the mountain wall.

The second option is to simply find a Dusk Stone on the ground. This option is hit or miss in a big way. I picked one up randomly, though I have no idea where, and this isn’t a method I would depend on.

The third option is to purchase a Dusk Stone in Porto Marinada. This isn’t an immediately guaranteed option, as there are only four market stalls which auction off four wares per day. But a Dusk Stone will eventually appear here. To better your odds, you can soft reset until you get the item you like.

Worth noting is that all Pokemon who evolve with a Dusk Stone, that are registered in the Paldean Pokedex, can be captured in the wild. But Mismagius and Honchkrow can be found in the Northern Area of Paldea or alternatively in the fields surrounding Alfornada.

Good luck finding those stones, Trainer!
