Where to Buy Ammo in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0

Stock up on ammunition before every major fight!

If you play Cyberpunk 2077 anything like I do, chances are exceedingly high that you run out of ammunition constantly. Does that sound about right? I want to play as a stealthy netrunner who wields a katana, but I always wind up running and gunning through encounters instead. As such, I run through entire magazines in mere seconds. Thankfully, an ammo store isn’t far from any corner. Here is where to buy ammo in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0.

The best way to get more ammo in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 is by visiting a local gun store and purchasing the necessary amount. You’ll find gun shops scattered around Night City every few blocks, and a white pistol icon on the map marks them. If you visit one, speak with the vendor and search under the ‘All Items’ category. You’ll find a wide range of ammunition for most weapons in the game.

That said, the cost and amount varies between vendors. They may have a few hundred rounds available for your submachine gun or not.

How to Craft Ammo

Alternatively, if you’re low on eddies or require ammunition here and now, you can craft ammo in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0. You’ll unlock a world of possibilities by visiting the Inventory menu and then selecting Crafting from the bottom right menu.

Scroll down to the bottom, and there you will find ammunition boxes. These cost components, though, so keep a steady supply on hand. You’ll receive a varying number of bullets per crafting writ, including:

  • Rifle Ammo – 48/per case
  • Pistol Ammo – 24/per case
  • Shotgun Ammo – 12/per case
  • Sniper Rifle Ammo – 12/per case

Scavenge Ammunition

Lastly, you can always scavenge ammunition throughout the game world. You’ll want to watch for ammo boxes, similar to old-school metal ammo tins, with the LED on the side. These typically contain tens of rounds of a random assortment.

While not a reliable source of ammunition, it can help in a pinch.
