Stables in Tears of the Kingdom serve multiple purposes. If you want to ride horses, you can register some here and use them whenever you’d like. If you like quests, you can travel around the world and solve mysteries alongside the Lucky Clover Gazette staff. There are many things to do and people to meet regardless of where you go. If you want to learn more, continue reading to discover where South Akkala Stable is in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
South Akkala Stable Location in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TOTK)
You can spot South Akkala Stable directly north of Zora’s Domain in Akkala Highlands, southwest of the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower, and northeast of Foothill Stable. South Akkala Stable’s exact coordinates are (3173, 1733, 0201).
If you have the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower unlocked, you can teleport here and glide directly north before following the path the rest of the way. This was my path, and it was pretty safe, aside from the occasional group of monsters here and there.
You can also travel south from the Ulri Mountain Tower if you’ve visited and taken a different route into the Highlands. While it is possible to get here from Foothill Stable, you’ll have a lot of mountains to traverse, making it much faster and easier to follow the main roads.

What Can You Find at TOTK’s South Akkala Stable?
Like every other stable in Tears of the Kingdom, you can interact with the stable owner, Dmitri, to get a Pony Point and stay at the inn for a night if you want to regenerate some hearts. You can also register wild horses here, allowing you to keep your horses safe and stored at every stable in the game.
However, the main reason to visit here is during the Potential Princess Sightings quest. You’ll find Penn in the chicken pen, wondering what’s happening with the “clairvoyant Cucco.”
You’ll begin the “All-Clucking Cucco” side adventure by talking to Penn about the situation. After completing it, you’ll be one step closer to unlocking Froggy armor!
