Ghost of Tsushima has a number of hidden Vanity Gear items hidden throughout the game at locations like the Ariake Lighthouse.
You might’ve stumbled across the Ariake Lighthouse early on in your journey.
If you climb up the ladders to the top, you can light the lighthouse fire, and it’s a cool vantage point to view the surrounding area.
However, if you don’t have the Grappling Hook, you’ll miss the piece of Vanity Gear hidden on the roof.
To help you save time, we’ll walk you through where you need to go and what you need to do in order to find the Ariake Lighthouse Vanity Gear in Ghost of Tsushima.
Where to Find Ariake Lighthouse Vanity Gear in Ghost of Tsushima
If you previously found and explored the Ariake Lighthouse in Ghost of Tsushima but missed the Vanity Gear at the top, don’t worry, this is actually really common.
The Vanity Gear at the Ariake Lighthouse can’t be reached until you unlock the Grappling Hook.

Once you have it, if you already found the Ariake Lighthouse you can fast travel to it using your map.
If you haven’t discovered this location yet, we’ve included a map image below showing you exactly where the Ariake Lighthouse can be found.
At the Ariake Lighthouse, you’re going to want to use the ladders to climb up to the top.
Once you’re at the top, head out onto the roof. Head to one of the corner edges and very carefully jump up.
When done correctly, you’ll see an R2 prompt pop up above your head, indicating you can grapple up.
Grapple and climb to the top, then look around for three items laying on the roof. Interact with them, and you’ll collect a piece of Vanity Gear called the Natural Vengeance Headband.
Once you’re done hanging out on top of the roof, head to one of the corner edges again and look for the R2 prompt that’ll let you grapple back down.
And that’s all there is to it!
- Get the Grappling Hook.
- Locate the Ariake Lighthouse.
- Climb the ladder to the top.
- Head over to a corner edge of the roof.
- Jump up and use R2 to grapple.
- Collect your Vanity Gear.
- Grapple back down and continue on your way!
