Out of all the Nightmare Dungeons in Diablo 4, the Flooded Depths is one of the best options for farming XP in the end-game. However, you may not have access to it right away and I’m here to help you get back on the XP grind.
How to Access the Flooded Depths in Diablo 4
The Flooded Depths are located in the Hope’s Light section of Scosglen, which is the northernmost tip of the Sanctuary map. When you check out the map, you’ll see that there is The Hope’s Light Stronghold in the exact same area. You won’t be able to explore the area at all until the Stronghold is completed and the Sea Hag is taken down.
If you get a Nightmare Sigil tied to the Flooded Depths and you haven’t completed The Hope’s Light Stronghold yet, then you’ll get a simple message denying any access or fast travel to the area. For those of you at this point in the game, clearing the Stronghold should only take a few minutes and you can use the Sigil as many times as you want from there.
Of course, you can always run the Flooded Depths dungeon for fun or for an additional Aspect in your codex. Upon completion, you get the Aspect of the Empowering Reaper which is meant for Sever Necromancers. Otherwise, the only real use for the dungeon is the immense amount of XP you can get.
Because of the dense amount of drowned enemies and the easy objectives, the depths are always one of the best sigils you can get, along with options like the Sirocco Caverns. Save these when you get them. Don’t let them go to waste as salvage at the Occultist Vendor within Sanctuary.
