Multiplayer has had a full season of Ranked Play already and Call of Duty players flocked over to see how far up the division ladder they can get. Now it’s time for Warzone 2 to get the same treatment, and we know for sure that a Ranked playlist is one the way for battle royale players.
If Season 2 was about making the Multiplayer component of Modern Warfare 2 competitive, then the next season is all about Al Mazrah and Ashika Island. Our guide will cover when you can expect Warzone 2 Ranked to go live and what the mode may look like for new players.
Warzone 2 Ranked Play – Season 3 Release Date
The roadmap for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and WZ2 has officially been confirmed and now players can rest assured about a competitive playlist for the battle royale. On April 12, Season 3 will go live, but it won’t be until the mid-season update that Ranked may appear. That gives Ranked Play a release date of around May 15 or later.
What the mode will look like has yet to be seen, but it’s likely that the system will be similar to what we have seen in Modern Warfare 2 already. There are seven divisions that players can progress through by earning SR and the best of the best will reach the Top 250 of the Iridescent Division. Those seem likely to stay but the rank based on wins will be harder to transfer.

This is also the first time that any version of Warzone Ranked will be available to play in Call of Duty. The first game never got the playlist and it’s fresh with Warzone 2. Players should expect plenty of balance changes as the mode evolves, so sit tight and enjoy the ride in Season 3.
