How to Obtain a Mega Rayquaza in Pokemon GO

Obtaining your own Mega Rayquaza in Pokemon GO looks different from previous Mega Pokemon in the game. Previously, all you would have to do is have enough Mega Energy for the specific Pokemon that you wanted to Mega evolve. Mega Rayquaza will not evolve unless it knows the charged move Dragon Ascent.

To teach your Rayquaza Dragon Ascent, you will need to use the new item Meteorite. These will be obtained by completing certain research tasks during the above Pokemon Go Fest 2023 events. Only ticket holders during the in-person events will be able to receive and use Meteorites. Everyone else will have to wait until Pokemon Go Fest 2023: Global.

That’s it! Once the Pokemon Go Fest 2023 celebrations begin, you will be able to obtain your own Mega Rayquaza! In the meantime, make sure that you are keeping the Pokemon world safe from the pesky Team Rocket.
