When Does Five Nights At Freddy’s: Survival Crew Launch on Roblox?

Five Nights at Roblox.

There’s an official Five Nights At Freddy’s game making its way to Roblox, and I couldn’t be more excited. Combining asymmetrical multiplayer gameplay with the FNAF license sounds like a dream come true, so when can we dive in?

When Does Survival Crew Launch on Roblox?

While a Beta was accidentally uploaded in December of 2023 for about two hours, there is no solid release date for this particular Roblox experience. According to the FNAF: Survival Crew Discord;

A note about the recent beta release of Survival Crew: We want to apologize for the confusing beta release earlier this week. Scott has instructed that the game be completely thrown out and started over from scratch with completely new gameplay and new assets, and that it only be released when it meets a much higher standard. If it never reaches that standard, it will never be released. We look forward to providing a high-quality Roblox experience for FNAF fans.

So, it seems that the game has been completely scrapped in its current form and is going through a complete rebuild before even a Beta will be available for players to enjoy. As of the time of this writing, the Discord channel chat is locked until a new Beta has been announced, but it seems that the game will be released at some time in 2024 if progress continues to be made.

What makes this particular experience interesting is that Scott Cawthon, developer of the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise, is involved with developing this Roblox experience, and it is considered an official FNAF release. Plenty of games use the likenesses of Freddy Fazbear and friends on the Roblox platform, but this is the first to have an official license from Scott himself.

While I was not lucky enough to participate in the Beta for this particular experience, the gameplay is likened to Dead by Daylight and games of the same vein, with one player in control of the Animatronic of their choice, while other players need to do whatever necessary to escape from them. It looks like a unique take on the franchise, and I’m excited to see what the team at Metaverse Frights Team can make happen once it has been polished up for a full release.
