The underwater city has been teased for a while, but the exact release date has been kept hidden.

Now, the official release date for Atlantis has been brought to the surface, and it’s a lot sooner than you might think.

When is Atlantis Coming to Fortnite?

According to a number of sources, hints, and leaks, the Atlantis POI will officially appear in Fortnite starting tomorrow, August 1.

On Twitter, @Merl shared an image of where Atlantis will appear and stated that it’ll be available on August 1 at 3:00 a.m. (ET).

Meanwhile, other dataminers have confirmed the August 1 release date of Atlantis as well including @Mang0eLeaks, @VastBlastt, and @iFireMonkey to name just a few.

With all of these images provided by Fortnite dataminers, we see the flooded waters on the map begin to recede, heralding the impending emergence of Atlantis.

We’re curious what Atlantis will look like once it’s officially available to explore in Fortnite, and we imagine a number of Fortnite players will pay the Atlantis POI a visit at launch.

With so many players scurrying to explore Atlantis, it sounds like it’ll be a hotly contested POI this weekend, allowing players to potentially have an easier time completing Season 3 Week 7 challenges like collecting Floating Rings at Weeping Woods and balls of yarn at Catty Corner.

Furthermore, Fortnite players may have an easier time traveling from one side of the map to the other if Epic Games uses the Atlantis map update to implement the release of cars in Fortnite.

In the past, cars were supposed to arrive in Fortnite on July 21 but sadly this wound up not being the case.

It would be extremely convenient if the August 1 map update not only marked the release of the highly anticipated Atlantis POI but also the release of cars in Fortnite as well.

We’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for both of these things to prove true, but for the time being, it looks like Atlantis will arrive in Fortnite on August 1.

Be sure to check back as we’ll be updating this guide in the event other features are included with the addition of the Atlantis POI to Fortnite like cars.
