What is the Max Party Size in Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader? – Answered

A healthy party to fit all niches of battle.

When preparing to head out into the Koronus Expanse of Rogue Trader, your party is one of the many things you’ll be figuring out. Here’s what the max party size is in Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader.

How Many Party Members Can You Have in Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader?

In Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader, you can have a maximum of six party members at any given time. This includes your Rogue Trader and five other party members of your choosing. When exploring any zones that have possible combat scenarios, you’ll be prompted to select which party members you want to bring along with you. From there, you won’t be able to change them until you’ve finished whichever mission that you’re on.

How to Get More Party Members

If you want to get more party members, whether for more options or to hit that party size cap, then there’s a few ways this can be done. On one hand, you’ll find more party members as you progress through the main quests of Rogue Trader. For example, I’m about seven hours through my run now and have met four different party members excluding my main character. You should be able to exceed the party cap off of that alone.

The other method is recruiting more, which can be done at High Factotum Janris Danrok within your Voidship’s Bridge. When speaking to him, ask him to recruit more party members to your retinue, and you’ll be given some options. These characters are nowhere near as developed as the party members you find through the main story, but they’re nice if you have a niche that you can’t currently fill.

Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. If you’re looking for more help when trying to play, check out our guide explaining the classes of Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader.
