Once upon a time, in order to get access to new characters in a Street Fighter game, you would have to find an arcade cabinet with an updated version of the game or buy a brand new SUPER HYPER TURBO version for your home system. For a long time, that practice was replaced by DLC and Season Passes, and since Street Fighter V, it is possible to buy new characters individually for currencies that you can win by winning in online matches – many, many matches. The faster way was, of course, to pay for those unlocks with real money.
Street Fighter 6 introduces a novelty that hasn’t been discussed much until now; the Rental Fighter option that gives you an opportunity to try out new characters before you buy them – let’s check out how that works.
How Does Rental Fighter Work in Street Fighter 6?
At the moment, it is not possible to test this feature because no new fighters have been added to the game yet, but many have been announced in the year one roadmap. So, when the first additional character is added, which will be A.K.I during summer 2023, you will be able to preview the character for 1 hour – the price of admission will be one Rental Fighter ticket.

How to Get Rental Fighter Tickets in Street Fighter 6?
Right now it is possible to earn one or two Rental Fighter tickets for free via the Free Rewards section of Fighting Pass, but how long it will be available there is not known. For now, you just need to collect enough Kudos to unlock and save this ticket for the future when the new characters arrive. Will this ticket later be sold for Fight Coins? Who knows.
