What is Regigigas’ Weakness in Pokemon GO? – Answered

Not a gigantic list of weaknesses this time!

Guess who’s back, back again. It’s our good friend Regigigas who has made its way back into Five-Star Raids. Regigigas is currently available from May 24th (10AM local time) to June 1st (10AM local time). As Niantic often has no rhythm or rhyme as to when and why they both introduce and bring back raid Pokemon, it is critical that trainers catch this giant Pokemon whilst it is available. However, catching a Pokemon of this magnitude does not come easy, so we should examine what Regigigas’ weaknesses are in Pokemon GO to defeat and capture it successfully.

What Pokemon Type is Strong Against Regigigas in Pokemon GO?

Before even choosing the Pokemon that you want in your team to best defeat Regigigas, it is a good idea to make sure that enough fellow trainers are participating in the raid so that you will be successful and do not waste either a Raid Pass or a Remote Raid Pass. Generally, five people participating is the recommended amount for a guaranteed defeat, as Regigigas does have a substantial amount of HP. Depending on trainer ability and the Pokemon used, this number could be reduced to three or increased to six. Once you have the necessary trainers, it is time to consider what Regigias weaknesses are.

Regigigas is quite a difficult Raid to defeat, boasting 55480 CP, and therefore its weaknesses need to be considered when choosing the best party. Regigigas is a sole Normal-type Pokemon, and therefore its weakness is solely Fighting type Pokemon.

Regigigas has the potential to use the following moves:

  • Zen Headbutt
  • Hidden Power
  • Thunder
  • Focus Blast
  • Giga Impact

When choosing Fighting-type Pokemon for your team, you should consider strong options such as Machamp, Lucario, and Blaziken.

If you are successful, you may find yourself face-to-face with a shiny Regigigas! Good luck, trainer!
