What is Pokemon Legends Celebi? – Rumors Explained

I really, really wish this rumor was true.

If there’s one thing fans want (me, I’m fans), it’s a sequel to Pokemon Legends Arceus. And it might be for that reason why the rumor of Pokemon Legends Celebi have been so difficult to get. So, what is Pokemon Legends Celebi, and is there any truth to the rumor?

What is Pokemon Legends Celebi? – Rumors Explained

Pokemon Legends Celebi was born after the extremely talented YassiR published a trailer called “Pokemon Legends Celebi – Final Trailer” on YouTube. And while you might glean from that title that Pokemon Legends Celebi and its trailer were all fan made, the sheer quality of the trailer has lured many people into thinking that this is a real sequel.

Who can blame them? 3D animator YassiR and their team have clearly poured a significant amount of time and skill into this 3 minute trailer, which shows beautiful environments with a day and night cycle, regional variants, and whispers of an epic, high-fantasy plot. It honestly looks even better than Pokemon Legends Arceus and I desperately wish that the Altaria Regional variant was real. It even seems to reference Breath of the Wild’s Blood Moon.

But ultimately, Pokemon Legends Celebi isn’t real. As far as anyone knows, there is no planned sequel for Pokemon Legends Arceus, and it’s unlikely that it will receive one anytime soon.

It’s likely that this rumor is resurrected every few months because of a few out-of-context screenshots or gifs finding their way onto various social media sites. And who can blame folks for desperately wishing that these were real leaks?

If you want to see the trailer for yourself, you can watch it below, then tag yourself and your friends as an Eevee evolution. I’m Goth Jolteon.
