What is a Riven Sliver in Warframe? – Answered

A sliver of luck, perhaps?

While you’re going through your usual missions in Warframe and killing just about everything in sight, you’ll collect quite a few resources, including one particularly mysterious one. Here’s what a Riven Sliver is in Warframe.

What Does a Riven Sliver Do in Warframe?

A Riven Sliver is a resource that can be traded in to craft a Riven mod, Credits, or Kuva. To do so, you’ll need to visit Palladino in Iron Wake on Earth. If you’ve completed the Chains of Harrow quest, you should remember Palladino and Iron Wake from heading there during those events. Once you’re there, you can speak to Palladino to see her wares. You’ll need 10 Riven Slivers for each Riven mod and the Kuva, along with 5 Riven Slivers if you want the Credits. These will refresh every week so you can buy them again.

As for what Rivens are, these mods are fairly weak at base level, but with the right weapon and buffs can be better than your standard mod. You can benefit from the stats of multiple mods in one, albeit with some drawbacks. I don’t like dabbling in them since they’re dependent on random chance, but maybe you’re feeling lucky.

How to Get More Riven Slivers

If you want to farm up some Riven Slivers, there are a few places you can snag them. Riven Slives can be found when opening Requiem Relics, high-level Jackal enemies, and Eximus units. The last one is likely where you’ll be snagging some Slivers, since it’s the most likely way to score some drops. If you already have a good frame to farm resources with (Khora with the Pilfering Strangledome mod, Hydroid with the Pilfering Swarm mod, etc.), then you should be fine just doing that. One particularly good place is a Sortie mission with the modifier Eximus Stronghold.
