Best Ways to Farm Plastids in Warframe (2023)

No, not plastics.

Farming resources in Warframe isn’t the most exciting thing to do, but it is something that must be done at some point or another. Doesn’t matter if you need Argon Crystals, Orokin Cells, Morphics, or even Gallium. At some point, you’ll probably have to do some heavy farming with random groups. One such resource is easy enough to come by, but the amount you need can make it troublesome. Here are the best ways to farm Plastids in Warframe.

Every Good Way to Get Plastids in Warframe

Plastids, being as common as they are, can come from a lot of different locations in the game. We’re going to narrow those down due to some being less than ideal than others, alongside some that can be great for when you need to multitask. If you’re purely looking for Plastids and nothing else, then the following locations will be best:

  • Stephano, Uranus (Defense)
  • Akkad, Eris (Defense)
  • Ophelia, Uranus (Survival)

If Plastids are all you need, then running these three missions should gift more than enough. I tend to run Ophelia over the others in this case, but if you’re running a strong Defense frame such as Khora, Defense may be the better option.

What Are the Best Missions for Plastids and Other Resources?

If you’re wanting to kill two birds with one stone and take care of multiple things at once, three missions offer different useful things alongside Plastids. The first of these missions is Piscinas on Saturn, which is a Survival mission. This mission can drop a healthy amount of Orokin Cells and is considered one of the better Orokin Cell farms, second only to Gabii on Ceres. The second is Helene on Saturn, which almost functions as a budget Hydron, Sedna for affinity farming. It also drops Orokin Cells alongside those Plastids, which is always nice. The last mission is an odd choice, the Cambion Drift on Deimos. Different crates scattered around the map can drop Plastids alongside other Deimos resources if you need those as well.

What Are Plastids Used for in Warframe?

Plastids are used for a variety of things, primarily centered around different Warframe parts. Some weapons require Plastids as well though, such as the Bubonico (an incredible weapon, by the way), Boar, Argonak, and Cernos. We would list them all off for you, but we’d be here all day. Excluding making duplicates of recipes, you’ll need 151,770 Plastids to build everything that currently requires it in Warframe.
