What is Destiny 2: Shadowkeep Power Level Cap?

Has the Destiny 2: Shadowkeep power level cap been discovered ahead of time?
This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

Shadowkeep will be the next major expansion for the popular looter-shooter title of Destiny 2. Arriving on September 19th of 2019, the Destiny 2: Shadowkeep expansion will be taking Guardians back to the Moon to do battle with a new threat from The Darkness. As with any Destiny 2 expansion, Shadowkeep will be raising the max power level for Guardians. While Bungie has not officially revealed the power level cap for the new piece of content for the first-person shooter game, this piece of information looks to have possibly been already out in the open thanks to a discovery by some very attentive fans.

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep Power Level Cap

According to a report by Game Rant, the reveal video for the upcoming expansion posted on the Bungie YouTube channel showcases footage from a playtest session of the new content. During this footage, viewers can spot the power level amount of 900 on a screen shown in the video reveal of the new expansion.

Guardians currently can reach a max power level cap of 750 in Destiny 2. With this in mind, it is not surprising to see that the power level cap could be increased by 150 to give players, even more, to strive for when it comes to making their Guardian as strong as possible in Shadowkeep. There is also the possibility that this alleged 900 cap could be soft and easily be surpassed by players when they begin taking on end-game activities.

However, as with any piece of unconfirmed information, Bungie could decide to change this 900 cap before the Destiny 2: Shadowkeep expansion officially releases.

While it is not confirmed at the moment, players at least now know that reaching a 900 power level is definitely something in the mind of Bungie and will likely be a number many Guardians will reach when they take on the Destiny 2: Shadowkeep expansion.
