What Are Seeker’s Keys Used for in Diablo 4? – Answered

Helltide Mystery Chests have gotten a casual new look

Do you love Helltides? Do you love the concept of popping open a chest to get an assortment of treasures after prying the key off a monster who was hellbent on tracking you down? Well, then, Seeker Keys might be blood and butter. Here’s what to do with Seeker Keys in Diablo 4.

How to Use Seeker Keys in Diablo 4 Season 2

Helltides are one of the best parts of Diablo 4. And the Blood Hunt in Diablo 4’s Season 2 takes that concept and makes it accessible all the time. You can tell a Blood Hunt is on by checking out the map and looking for the green-dyed area. It’s too bad they already used red for Helltides, right?

While you’re in a Blood Hunt area, there’s a chance you’ll encounter Seekers after a time. Seekers will start hunting you after you’ve spent a certain amount of time or killed a certain number of enemies in a Blood Hunt area. These two Elites will then descend on you, and you’ll have to defeat them. Doing so will grant you one to two Seeker’s Key.

The Seeker Key can then be used on Seeker Caches, which appear exclusively in the Blood Hunt zone. These chests will appear on your mini-map or large map once you get close enough to them. This is very similar in concept to Helltide’s Mystery Chest. There are multiple caches around the map. But once you open one, it vanishes.

Fortunately, your Seeker Key will not vanish once the Blood Hunt moves. So, don’t sweat it if you didn’t find a cache.

The rewards you get from the Seeker’s Cache are random. You’ll get one to three armor or weapons, Potent Blood, and at least one Pact.

How to Get More Seeker Keys in Diablo 4

There are two ways to get Seeker Keys. The first is to kill any Seekers who opt to pursue you as you’re in the Blood Hunt. You’ll get a notification on your screen when you’ve caught their attention. Defeat both of them, and there’s a chance they’ll drop one to two keys.

However, you can also summon Seekers at Sanguine Altars. Sanguine Altars require between 15 to 50 Blood Lures. Blood Lures can be obtained by defeating enemies.

Once you use the Blood Lures, a pair of Blood Seekers will descend upon you. This is the most consistent way to find Seekers, and the Sanguine Altars are plentiful and already marked on your map.
