Was Trading Disabled in Diablo 4 Season 3? – Answered

Hold your items

Season of the Construct is live in Diablo 4, and as players start to collect some new items for the season, there could be some issues with trading. In this guide I’ll go over whether trading is disabled and why it could be gone for the time being.

Diablo 4 Season 3: Was Trading Disabled?

Trading has been temporarily disabled in Diablo 4 Season 3 between players due to a recent bug with items. Though there is no way to trade at the time of this writing, that doesn’t mean you won’t be able to trade for the rest of the season. There are plenty of aspects of the Season of the Construct that players are complaining about, but trading won’t be one for long.

As for the timeline on a fix, Blizzard has not given an exact timeline. Considering trading is such an important part of the end-game process for many players, the fix needs to be soon. But it all depends on how quickly the item duplication bug can be fixed. The official Twitter will likely provide an update as soon as there is a fix.

What caused trading to get disabled was a new bug that allowed players to duplicate items in Season 3. Of course, too many duplicated items lead to a decimated economy where items have no value. Whether any duplicated items will remain in player inventories is up in the air, but I wouldn’t be surprised if some do disappear.

At the end of the day, you can still play the entire game without any trading. Just grind what you can in the meantime and focus on your main build. Within no time you can start trading for those Uber Uniques that you will probably never find on your own.

Try out some more Vaults to get your power up and hopefully earn some loot along the way.
