Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader – How to Get the Footfall Docks Code

Can't we just blow up the damn thing?

One of the many puzzles you’ll come across in Rogue Trader involves a four-digit code that you need to decipher the answer from. Here’s how to get the Footfall Docks code in Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader.

How to Open the Locked Door in the Footfall Docks in Rogue Trader

This door first appears when exploring Void Dock Alpha-Rho upon landing in Footfall, a location you’ll visit during Chapter 2 of the game. Within this location is a container, which has a combination on the side of it listing the numbers 1, 3, 4, and 5. Behind it is a chest with some unknown loot, though this is likely where most people get stuck.

To get this code, you want to find a body within Void Dock Alpha-Rho that has a Strange Memo for you to read. You can check the image above if you want help locating it. Within the Strange Memo is four clues leading to each of the four digit placements needed for the combination. Those clues and how you find the numbers are as follows.

First Number of Footfall Void Dock Code

Kicking things off, we have the first clue of “The holy book by the altar.” This can be found at Saint Drusus’ altar within the docks themselves, at a readable item on the left of the altar. Since the book is Volume Three, we can gather that the first number is 3.

Second Number of Footfall Void Dock Code

For the second number, this clue reads “That void-damn customs guy. He is always on duty…” This pertains to Rank 5 Functionary Alangar Quistoris, which naturally leads us to the second number of 5.

Third Number of Footfall Void Dock Code

This clue simply reads “Guess what.” which means you’ll need to use whichever number is missing. Spoiler alert, it’s 4.

Fourth Number of Footfall Void Dock Code

The final clue says “Hangar by the window. Remember to bow to the Emperor through the window”. This leads us to the hangar 111, which translates to the final number being 1.

Footfall Door Code and Rewards

The Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader Footfall Void Dock code is 3-5-4-1. Input that into the buttons on the side, and you’ll open your way to the various rewards within. In that chest is a bunch of cargo, a multikey, and two pieces of gear:

  • Interrogation Goggles – These goggles grant the wearer a +5 bonus to Lore (Xenos. They also grant +10% hit chance against Xenos.
  • Psyker’s Footwear – These boots grant their wearer +3% dodge until the end of combat for each psy power they use. Stacks.

The Interrogation Goggles aren’t super exciting but could be nice on someone like Heinrix van Calox (except that he would’ve just left the party at this point). The Psyker’s Footwear, however, is much nicer and can be used on Idira to bolster her dodge. I’ll be using them on her myself since I don’t have a lot of great gear for her in my playthrough.
