Warframe Gauss Prime – Release Date, Prime Weapons, and More

Gotta go even faster.

While Warframe’s last Prime frame was only released in October, people are hungering for details regarding the next release. Here’s everything you need to know about Gauss Prime in Warframe.

Everything We Know About Gauss Prime’s Release

When Gauss Prime releases in Warframe, he will be the 42nd frame to receive the Prime treatment following Grendel in October 2023. He was roughly the same in terms of general frame release order, and following him will likely be either Protea or Xaku getting the Prime treatment.

When Does Gauss Prime Release?

While Digital Extremes has yet to give an exact release date, we believe Gauss Prime will release sometime in January 2023. This would follow the standard release cadence of 3-4 months in between frame releases. While Gauss may get a Prime variant in February, the chances of this are unlikely. It would also likely be at the start of February if it comes to that.

How Will He Look?

As with all other Prime frames, Gauss Prime will be released with an Accessories Pack that further enhances his look. You can see images of both his base version and the Accessories Pack above. Some people have jokingly said that the Accessories Pack looks like Gauss has cat ears, and I’d be hard-pressed to disagree.

What Stats Will Gauss Prime Have?

While Gauss Prime is mostly a mystery outside of some basic details and his look, there are a few things we know. For one, he’ll have higher Shield and base Sprint Speed values, increasing by 95 and 0.1, respectively. While Sprint Speed sounds boring, much of his battery passive is dependent on the distance traveled. The faster he’s going, the more effective he can be in combat. Alongside this, Gauss will get the standard Prime passive of giving 250 Energy to all party members when standing near an Orokin Void Death Orb. Other than that, details regarding changes are scarce.

What Prime Weapons Will Come With Him?

Given that Prime weapons are usually the ones that are released with the original frames, it’s likely that Gauss Prime will come with Prime variants of the Acceltra and Akarius. While the Akarius isn’t something special, the Acceltra is widely considered to be one of the best weapons in the game. This Prime variant would likely just cement that status even harder.
