If you’ve been bounty scavenging in the lead up to Destiny 2 Shadowkeep, then you’ve definitely come across Petra’s bounties in your travels. They’re a nice way to break up the monotony of trying to farm Nightfall strikes for weapons that barely drop, so we definitely don’t blame you for cracking into them. Toland Destiny 2 Guide: The Shattered – Toland Located
To pick up the Challenge: The Shattered bounty from Petra Venj, you’re going to have to be kicking around the Dreaming City. Once you clear out the Ascendant Challenge in the area, you’ll be able to chat to Petra and have her hand you Challenge: The Shattered – Toland Located. In order to actually find him, you’re going to have to hop right back into the portal that spat you out after the challenge.
The good news is that Toland is pretty distinctive. The bad news is that his location is basically a crapshoot week after week: it always changes based on a new Ascendant Challenge. Once you’ve run up to the portal, make sure you down a Queensfoil Tincture so you’re fully attuned on all levels and pop inside. Keep your eyes peeled for something that looks like a white, wispy cloud. He’s as good as opaque, and he should be a stark contrast against the rather dreary, grey-hued colors of the Ascendant plane. If you’re having trouble actually locating him, and this is the one time we’ll give you advice that sounds this terrifying, follow the lights. He’s usually floating about with other similarly-hued things, and once you track him down and talk to him (read: listen to his spiel), the Challenge: The Shattered bounty will be located and you can hand it in.
