Thank Goodness You’re Here! Achievement Guide: Patience is a Virtue

You really have to wait in the reception, yes.

Thank Goodness You’re Here! is one of the most enjoyable titles of the year and a hilarious romp that doesn’t overstay its welcome. It has plenty of achievements to unlock and trophies to collect, most of which are pretty straightforward. However, one of these requires some actual patience, and here is how you can unlock the ‘Patience is a Virtue’ achievement in Thank Goodness You’re Here!

Patience is a Virtue Achievement in Thank Goodness You’re Here!

To unlock the Patience is a Virtue achievement, you need to wait for exactly 15 minutes outside the Mayor’s Office in the game’s opening sections before entering the office.

This achievement currently has the lowest unlock rate on Steam, and it makes sense because you’re expected to do nothing but sit in a chair for 15 minutes and watch the time fly by. You can let the game play in the background or watch the lady play with her cards in the background.

After exactly 15 minutes, the Mayor will enter the lobby and ask you to come in. This is your cue.

Enter his office, and the achievement will unlock.

If you enter the office before the Mayor shows up, you won’t get the achievement, and you’ll have to restart the game, or the checkpoint at least.

Thank Goodness You’re Here! isn’t a very long game, and you can finish it in a few sittings. It has 32 achievements in total, and most of those should unlock as you progress through the entire campaign. Though you’ll likely have to play through a few more times to unlock everything.

The good thing is, most achievements are pretty situational and reward players for trying to focus a bit more on the environment and the dialogue.
