Tears of the Kingdom: How to Get the Magic Scepter in TotK

500 Brightbloom Seeds for one Magic Scepter

Link might be a legendary swordsman, but that doesn’t mean he can’t wield a little magic from time to time. And one of the best magic weapons in Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the Magic Scepter! But because it’s the best, it’s naturally much harder to find. Here’s how to get the magic scepter in Teras of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom: How to Get the Magic Scepter in TotK

Magic Scepters are two-handed weapons that, when fused with gemstones, gain certain elemental attributes. These can range from firing off icy mists that will freeze anything in its way to bouncing balls of electricity. And while it has a low attack power of only 7, its ability to do elemental damage is well worth it.

But as far as I can tell, there’s only one surefire way to get magical scepters. And that’s by finding all six Bargaining Statues in the Depths. Early on, when you’ve only encountered a handful of statues, you’ll be able to purchase the Magic Rod, which is one step below the Magic Scepter. You can purchase it for 100 Poes.

But when you discover all six Bargainer Statues, the Magic Scepter unlocks. You can only buy one Magical Scepter at a time, as it only ever has one in stock. To get more, you’ll have to come back later. And sad to say, you can only purchase the Scepter from Statues in the Depths. But at least it only costs 100 Poes?

I’ve heard rumors that scepters can be found in treasure chests in the Depths as well. I’ve uncovered a lot of the Depths and opened a not insignificant amount of treasure chests. I’ve yet to find a single Magical Scepter within. It’s possible they’re there, but it’s also much more likely that you’ll get Crystallized Charges or a piece of armor instead.

That’s not to say it’s impossible! I haven’t opened every chest in the Depths. But it’s much more consistent to purchase the Magical Scepter from the Bargainer Statue instead.
