Preparing to Become Terry’s Disciple in Street Fighter 6 World Tour Mode

To get Terry’s Outfit 2 for free in World Tour Mode, you need to become his disciple and raise his Bond Level to 100. Before you can activate the quest to become Terry’s disciple, you must have completed the following tasks:

  • Become Ryu’s disciple, which is automatically part of the World Tour Mode story.
  • Complete Chapter 11-4.
  • Purchase the Terry DLC. This can be done by buying him for 350 Fighter Coins (approximately US$7), or by purchasing the Season 2 Character Pass (US$30) or Season 2 Ultimate Pass (US$50), neither of which can be purchased using Fighter Coins.

How to Become Terry’s Disciple in Street Fighter 6 World Tour Mode

Once you have met the above requirements, enter World Tour Mode to receive a message about the Knock Out Festival. To begin the activities associated with the festival, go to your hangout in Metro City where you change the time between day and night. There will be a new option, “One Fateful Day.” Selecting One Fateful Day will allow you to transport between World Tour and Knock Out Festival. Knock Out Festival is a smaller pocket of World Tour, with three maps relating to Terry.

Select Knock Out Festival and go to Metro City. This version only includes Beat Square. Talk with Alice, who gives you a Knock Out Festival hat. Wear the hat and defeat the three other people wearing the same hat, indicated on the map with quest markers. The characters are all references to Fatal Fury characters, like Duck Queen (referencing Duck King) and Mr. Maximum (referencing Michael Max). Terry will interrupt one of your fights with a cutscene, after which you need to fight any remaining opponents.

Once you defeat all three opponents, you are taken to Pao Pao Cafe 6, and it is added to your list of accessible areas. There, you need to win a 3v3, King of Fighters-style bout against Andres (a reference to Andy), Marilyn (a reference to Blue Mary), and George Azuma (a reference to Joe, which will be important later). You’ll control Thrasher Damnd, Rudra, and your personal fighter. All other characters will be Level 45, while your fighter will be your normal level, so you may have an easy time if you’ve been clearing all the missions in regular World Tour Mode. After you win this 3v3 battle, Terry will accept you as his student, and you can start working on unlocking his Outfit 2.

Obtaining Terry’s Most Loved Item, The Knights of Fantasia

The Knights of Fantasia is Terry’s favorite item, raising his Bond Level by a whopping 40. You’ll need to complete two quests to earn this item. To start, go back to Beat Square and speak to Joe Higashi (he’ll have a quest marker displayed on the map). After talking to him, he’ll direct you to speak to Blue Mary nearby. Blue Mary wants you to buy a Standard T-Shirt from the clothing store right beside her, since she’s embarrassed that Joe never wears a shirt.

After buying the Standard T-Shirt, talk to her again and follow her to Pao Pao Cafe 6. Here, Joe will confront his “imposter” George Azuma, but is happy to hear George is copying him out of admiration. This will end the first of two quests, but be sure to speak to Joe again to learn his Hurricane Upper special move for your character.

Your next stop is to return to Beat Square. Find the food vendor indicated by a quest marker, and he’ll alert you to a stray dog nearby. Give the stray dog a Flight Ticket to make him happy. The dog will leave… to Pao Pao Cafe 6. It turns out this is Blue Mary’s dog. Return to Pao Pao Cafe 6 and talk to Blue Mary. She thanks you for leading her dog back, and as a reward gives you the NEO-GEO game The Knights of Fantasia, which will raise Terry’s Bond Level by 40 when you gift it to him. (Blue Mary will also teach your character her classic move, Vertical Arrow.)

How to Obtain Terry’s Liked Item, Canvas Shoes

The item Canvas Shoes will raise Terry’s Bond Level by 5. It’s a steep drop from The Knights of Fantasia’s 40, but you can farm Canvas Shoes. Merchant Hawker in Pao Pao Cafe 6 will drop the item when you hit him with five (5) Super Arts in one battle, which can be from a single Super Art that lands five or more hits.

Other Items and Methods to Raise Terry’s Bond Level

There are a few extra ways to increase Terry’s Bond Level. Firstly, leveling up Terry’s Style unlocks conversations and sparring with him that can increase his Bond Level. To increase Terry’s Style, equip his style on your character in the status menu and battle NPCs with Terry’s Style in World Tour Mode. It’s also worth leveling up Terry’s Style to Level 18 to unlock a mission that makes Genbu Temple available in this One Fateful Day scenario, and has Terry meet up with Ryu.

Terry also gains 2 Bond Levels when given a Prepaid Card. You can buy them from Shopkeeper Dora in Old Nayshall for 1260 Zenny each.

Once you’ve given Terry enough items to increase his Bond Level to 100, you’ll unlock his Outfit 2, which is his jacket from Garou: Mark of the Wolves. You’re then free to swap between either of his stylish looks as you work on mastering his impressive combos.
